Update - March 24, 2020

Yesterday, Governor Whitmer made the announcement that Michigan will join the growing number of states instituting mandatory facilities closures for non-essential services businesses.  While workers in the insurance industry are exempted in that we are not being forced to close our offices, the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order does dictate that those able to effectively work from home do so.  This is expected to remain in effect until Monday April 13.

Most of the KF Team will be working remotely during this time, but will be available to you for all your insurance needs and questions.  We are only a phone call or email away.  Working remotely does have its challenges so please do not be alarmed if you hear a child or dog in the background.

We wish you all good health as we work together through these trying times.  We look forward to the day when we can again see all your smiling faces.

With warm regards,

Your friends and neighbors at KorthaseFlinn

Press Release – March 16, 2020

As the fallout of COVID-19 continues to unfold, a few facts have become clear:

  1. Our nation and our local communities do not yet have the resources to respond with adequate testing or treatment to the anticipated number of cases expected from this nascent pandemic.
  2. Without a vaccine on the horizon, social distancing is the only barrier that we as individuals and collectively as a community can create to slow down the spread of this virus and its potentially devastating impact on our most vulnerable members.

At KorthaseFlinn we take our community citizenship very seriously and are committed to doing our part to reduce the velocity at which this virus impacts our communities. It is our hope that early action will play a role in slowing the spread and therefore buy our health care system some critical time to prepare.

Effective Tuesday, 3/17/2020 we will stop having in person meetings in our office and are asking that our clients and partners refrain from visiting our offices. We believe that by making small sacrifices now, we might help to reduce the hardships endured by others.

During this time our offices will continue to be fully staffed by our team of professionals. We expect to remain fully operational and available to our clients and business partners and do not anticipate any disruption in services. The following are specific measures we are taking:

Meetings

  • Phone, email and video chat will be strongly recommended in lieu of face-to-face meetings.

Payments or Drop Offs

  • Check and Credit Card Payments will be accepted by phone and email as in the past.
  • Agency Bill payments should be mailed to our Boyne City office:
         KorthaseFlinn Insurance
         1150 Boyne Ave
         Boyne City, MI 49712
  • If you would normally make your payment in one of our offices, please call to make your payment via alternative means. If you must make a payment in our office please call for specific instructions.
  • If you have something that must be dropped off, please call to make arrangements (231)348-8121.

Please contact us with any questions. Our hopes are with you and your families for good health.

With warm regards,

Your friends and neighbors at KorthaseFlinn
